Who is cephas




















This jives with the gospel account: Matthew 8 mentions that Peter has a mother-in-law. Paul drops this tidbit, too: after Jesus was crucified, "he was raised on the third day [and he] appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve" 1 Corinthians This is a little off.

Not that it matters to him, but there you go. He also says that Peter has "been entrusted with the gospel for the circumcised" Galatians by Jesus himself. Of course, Paul's been entrusted with the same gospel, so clearly it's no big whoop. So what did Peter think of Paul?
